Pair a device
- Lyre running on your computer.
- The Lyre app on your phone or tablet, or Lyre on another computer.
- For the first connection: both devices on the same Wi-Fi.

On your computer, create an invitation

On your phone, find the computer
In the Lyre app, choose Add connection. Computers on the same network appear nearby.
-
Enter the six-digit code
Pick your computer. It shows a six-digit code; type it on your phone.
Paste a link
-
Copy the invitation link
After creating an invitation on your computer, choose Copy pairing link and send it to your device privately.
-
Paste it
In Lyre on the other device, choose Add connection, then Paste pairing link.
your computer appears as Connected in the app and you can open your projects.
Pairing codes and links let a device connect. Don’t post them in screenshots, chats or repositories.
Choose what the device may do
| Access | Best for | Can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Your own phone or laptop | Everything: projects, agents, settings and other devices. |
| Developer | A teammate | Work with agents and code, only in the projects you pick. |
| User | A tester or client | Use the apps you share. No code, agents, terminals or settings. |
Pairing a device doesn’t automatically grant developer access. Give the smallest access that does the job; you can change it later.
For someone who only needs to test one app, follow Share app to create an App-only invitation.
Using it away from home
After the first connection on the same Wi-Fi, your device can reconnect from another network through Lyre’s encrypted relay: keep coding, follow agents and review changes on mobile data. Your computer must stay on and online. Free includes 30 minutes per account per UTC month shared across remote app previews and remote desktop on all devices. Sign in on the host to use the remote allowance. Local and LAN viewing have no time limit. Existing traffic limits still apply. See plan limits and connectivity.
Remove a device
On your computer open Pair device, find the device, and remove its access. Do this when testing is over or a device is lost. Deleting the app from a phone isn’t the same as revoking it on the computer.
